Who runs it

The weekly contest is held by YouVS, its sponsor. Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, this contest in any way.

No purchase necessary

You never need to buy anything to enter, vote or win. The weekly contest is free, and nothing you buy gives you contest votes. A boost shows a post to more people in the feed; it never changes the contest page or its votes.

Who can enter

Anyone with a YouVS account. YouVS is for ages 13 and up. Demo accounts can't win, and their votes don't count. Void where prohibited.

The contest week

Each week starts Sunday at 00:00 UTC and ends the next Sunday at 00:00 UTC.

How to enter

Post a video in a public game (one anyone can see) during the week, then pick it as your contest video on the Weekly contest page. It has to be your own video, posted that week.

One entry per person each week. You can swap it for another of your videos until the week ends. A swap counts as entering again when a tie is decided.

A video that is deleted or removed leaves the contest, and so does a video whose game or verse stops being public. You can pick another video from the same week.

Entering shows your @name, your picture and your video on the contest board.

Voting

Every signed-in account gets one contest vote a week. You can move it, or take back your vote, until the week ends.

You can't vote for your own entry, or for someone you have blocked or who has blocked you. Likes are not contest votes.

A vote counts only if the account was at least 24 hours old when it voted. Votes from demo accounts never count. Your vote is for the person's entry: if they swap their video, your vote stays with them.

How the winner is picked

When the week ends, the entry with the most counted votes wins. A tie goes to whoever entered first (a swap resets that time). The winner needs at least one counted vote.

If nobody enters, or no entry gets a counted vote, nobody wins that week and its prize is added to the next week's.

If YouVS is down when a week ends, the week is closed by these rules as soon as it is back.

The prize

The prize is YouVS points: 10,000 points, plus any prize nobody won in earlier weeks (the 10,000 and what was added to it are capped at 50,000 together), plus any points already in the prize from points games. Since 12 October 2026 points games add nothing to it. The Weekly contest page shows the full prize.

The weekly prize is paid in full. The daily house limit (500 points a day from YouVS) does not apply to it.

The 10 entries with the most votes, each with at least one counted vote, also get a mystery box. Opening a box needs a verified phone. What a box gives is decided by chance, the odds are shown on the Daily page in the app, and points from a box count toward the daily house limit.

Points have no cash value. They can't be cashed out, sold or exchanged for money. A prize can't be swapped for anything else.

How the winner is told

Within minutes after the week ends, the winner gets the points and a notice in the app. Every other entrant is told how they finished. Next week's page names last week's winner by their @name.

Cheating

These rules sit under the Terms and the Community guidelines. YouVS can remove an entry, leave votes out, or hold back or take back a prize won by cheating: fake accounts, more than one account per person, or trading or buying votes.
